Lake Champlain  is a unique body of water. As the sixth largest freshwater lake in the United States, it stretches over 120 miles long and is 10 miles wide at its widest point (Burlington, VT to Port Douglas, NY). The lake has a surface area of 490 square miles, a shoreline of over 500 miles, and over 70 islands. With the Green Mountains to the east and the Adirondack Mountains to the west Lake Champlain has the character of an alpine lake with clear deep waters, parks & wildlife reserves, limited development and secluded anchorages with incredible mountain vistas.
